SSF's structure
General assembly (landsmøde)
The general assembly is the superior body of the SSF. It meets once a year to evaluate the organization's work and make decisions on future work and politics. It also elects the chairman and other members of the executive committee. The assembly consists of delegates from the districts, regions and associated organizations. All members of the SSF have the right to speak at these meetings.
Main committee (hovedstyrelse)
The Main committee consist of representatives of the regions, associated organizations and regular committees. It controls the executive committee and the secretary general. The Main committee is the most important body in the period between the general assemblies.
Executive committee (forretningsudvalg)
SSF's executive committee consists of a chairman, two vice-chairmen and two regular members. In cooperation with the secretary general this board manages the day to day work of the organization. The executive committee also represents the SSF in Denmark and Germany as well as within the Danish minority.
Regions (amter)
The SSF maintains seven regional organizations (amter), which offer events for the broader public and support the districts. These seven regional offices support the work on regional and local level.
Districts (distrikter)
The 66 districts, are the nucleus in the minority's local work. They offer a wide range of events and meetings for their members.
Standing committees (faste udvalg)
SSF has three standing committees: The Cultural committee, the Theatre- & Concert committee and the Årsmøde committee for the annual minority meetings. In cooperation with the staff of the Head office the committees' members coordinate and organize events for the whole minority.
Secretary general (generalsekretæren)
The secretary general is leader of the SSF-staff, acts as secretary of the executive committee and represents the organization in public. He is responsible for the SSF economy.
Associated organizations (tilsluttede foreninger)
18 independent organizations and clubs that are associated with the SSF and use the SSF-infrastructure for their work.
